It’s gonna be great!

Just 50 days 17 hours 52 minutes 36 seconds until GLHamCon!

Welcome to the home of the Great Lakes Amateur Radio Convention, GLHamCon! We’re excited about this new tradition, launching on October 7-8 at Michigan International Speedway.

This website is a treasure trove of information about GLHamCon, beginning with our Our Mission Statement. 20 amateur radio clubs in our area have signed on as founding members and we’re proud of our partnership with the good folks at Michigan International Speedway who are providing a breathtaking venue for the region’s most exciting new hamfest.

Follow us on Facebook and Twitter!

Tickets are Now On Sale! We have an official GLHamconHotel with great rates for attendees. And there is plenty of camping available.

We have one of the most exciting flea market spaces ever, right on pit road. You can reserve your spot here.

And you can expand your knowledge at our large array of forums, covering every topic from emergency communications to youth programs. If you’re not yet licensed, you can do it with us at HamCon at our “Ham in a Day” class.

We’re honored to welcome a bevy of VIPs, including ARRL President Rick Roderick K5UR and legendary ham radio youth guru Carole Perry WB2MGP.

All ARRL members are invited to take part in the traditional Wouff Hong ceremony at GLHamCon. Register here  to join in the fun. And be sure to visit our on line Great Lakes HamCon Store for official merchandise.

While you’re here, plan on visiting K8MIS, our Special Event Station managed by the South Lyon Area Amateur Radio Club. K8MIS got a test drive at the August NASCAR event at MIS, the first time that an amateur radio special event station has been activated during a race!

We update the website regularly so come back often.
