This website is a treasure trove of information about GLHamCon, beginning with our Our Mission Statement. 20 amateur radio clubs in our area  signed on as founding members and we’re proud of our partnership with the good folks at Michigan International Speedway who provided a breathtaking venue for the region’s most exciting new hamfest.

  1. Not a comment, but a question.
Is there camping available on the speedway grounds or will I need to go to Juniper Hills across the street as I do when I come to a race.
If so, what will the camoing charge be for this event?

    1. Thanks for the note, Dave! Camping will be available on MIS grounds. The price has not yet been set. Watch this space!

    1. Thanks for the note, Mike! The organizers of the Great Lakes HamCon are the members of the Great Lakes Amateur Radio Association. The GLARA is an ARRL affiliated club whose members are a dozen or more ARRL affiliated clubs located within around 50 miles of Michigan International Speedway. The officers of the GLARA are President: K8GO; Secretary: W9WSW; and Treasurer: WB8R.
