Great Lakes HamCon 2.0 Cancelled

Great Lakes HamCon 2.0 scheduled to occur this October at Michigan International Speedway has been cancelled. Failure to come to a final agreement for the use of the speedway led to the difficult decision to cancel the event. With just two months remaining, the issues caused by the lack of agreement are insurmountable.

Refunds for event tickets purchased will be made. Purchases made via PayPal will be made through PayPal. Arrangements for refunds for cash purchases are being formulated and will be announced soon.

The support of our affiliated amateur radio clubs and their members was very much appreciated. We share your disappointment that this year’s event cannot be held. Thank you for your understanding.

Refund Process

General Admission tickets for 2018 GLHamCon were sold in different locations. All were sold at a discount from the gate price ($20). At the Dayton Hamvention, tickets were sold for $15. After May 20th, all tickets sold were priced at $17.00.

Thus, in order to repay ticket holders the correct amount, we need to know a few things:

  1. Where you purchased your ticket
  2. How much you paid
  3. Your email address
  4. Your callsign, name, city, state & zip

You will notice different field names on the top and bottom information fields from what is shown here. Please ignore the names on your ticket and fill in the requested data on your ticket.

Please complete this step on each ticket that you have purchased.

Please either scan your ticket(s) or take a picture of your ticket with your phone and email to:

We will validate your purchase and send a check to you in the amount that you are owed.

If you have purchased either a flea market space or an inside exhibits space, please make note of that in your ticket email and we can refund your money for both ticket(s) and spaces on the same check. Thank you.

PAY PAL NOTE: If you purchased your ticket via PayPal, your money has already been refunded through Pay Pal.

Requests for refund must be received no later than 10/5/2018
